Managing Partner
Dan Barnett has fostered a deep understanding of financial theory, global markets, current events and historical perspective and how they affect current and future business conditions. Prior to Home Equity Partners, Barnett served as chief financial officer for enSphere Funding, Inc. He currently serves on the board of directors of iQual Corporation, and founded Advocate MD Financial Group, a property and casualty insurance holding company, where he served as chairman and chief executive officer. Barnett successfully established Barnett Capital Management, an NASD registered investment advisory firm. He managed Barnett Partners, L.P., a long equity value growth hedge fund, generating a 14-19% net annual IRR to limited partners, more than the return of the S&P 500 over the same period. In addition, he was general partner of Norwood Partners, L.P., a specialty investment partnership; general partner of International Capital Acquisition Partners, L.P.; and general partner of Pac-Am Partners, L.P., an leveraged buy-out fund. Barnett launched his career in 1981 with Paine Webber as a financial consultant to high net-worth individuals and small businesses. In 1988, Barnett was one of four founders of Oasis Capital Management in Boston. Barnett holds his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Arizona State University.
