Karl Baker brings to Home Equity Partners a solid mortgage and real estate background in business development, successful sales management and impressive client service. As regional vice president at Great Southwest Mortgage, Baker was instrumental in launching the Colorado region and, in just two years, growing it into a 200 employee, $60 million division in monthly residential loan fundings. He simultaneously managed Great Southwest’s largest Colorado branch, with three locations and 44 mortgage professionals generating $17 million in monthly loan fundings. Prior to Great Southwest, Baker co-founded Platinum Mortgage Group, which evolved into a successful enterprise in seven states with 80 loan officers. Anticipating opportunity in Colorado’s single family home market in 2006, Baker formed an investment partnership developing single family home subdivisions, generating 24% ROI. Baker is a graduate of the University of Missouri.
